(Gueishan Island, in a hurry)
My family members each heard about King Car Whisky Distillery from a different source, and unanimously decided to pay a visit this weekend. We do not take our "unanimous" decisions lightly as it only happens once in a blue moon. But sometimes a spur-of-the-moment decision could go haywire, simply because the driver, namely my Dad, had mistaken King Car Afforestation Park for the Whisky Distillery. What awaited us on top of the mountain after we fought through weekend traffic was not KAVALAN whisky, but Mr. Brown Coffee. Our dogs were probably the happiest since they got to relieve their bladders among acres of trees. But as for us human, not so much. I did not even attempt to order milk tea, that's how intimidating the waiting line looked.
(A family outing in the truest sense, no one was left behind)
(We stopped by a Taoist temple along the way)
(The temple was built on top of a hill overlooking a lake)
(The Lanyang Museum, this photo does not do it justice. I want to visit it some other time, definitely not on the weekends though. )
(We were at the wrong park...)
(It was hard to get a clear look of the place since it was crammed with people)
(On our way to dinner)
